Hall Management System

Abstract

Now a days, we need halls or auditorium for our family functions, school/college functions etc. But it is difficult to manage whole hall i.e like controlling fan/ac speed, controlling temperature and light in the hall or counting visitors when visitors are more. This is a system which includes all management of a hall. By reducing manpower and our efforts.

Introduction

Halls are very difficult to manage because of their vast area and wiring complexity. Hall Management includes controlling the lights in the hall according to current light intensity. Regulating the speed of fan according to the temperature is also an important factor which is to be monitored.  In addition to this, knowledge of number of people present in the hall may be helpful for some important record.

These parameters can be controlled manually but it may lead to energy wastage and demands manual effort. In order to overcome these drawbacks we have introduced a system which will control all these parameters automatically. Hall Management System will help to manage the basic requirements of the conference hall automatically without demanding manual efforts and also avoiding energy wastage.

Advantages

Hall management system has following advantages as compared to conventional method of managing the hall.

Avoids the wastage of energy

In conventional method of controlling, many a times it happens that the lights and fans (or other appliances) are kept ON even though no one is present inside the hall. This leads to energy wastage.
This disadvantage is overcome by this system which will control the appliances as per the visitors present in the hall.

Time consumption is less

Conventional method also consumes much time as compared to automatic controlling of appliances using hall management system. Today world is on wheels, time being the valuable aspect this system has an edge over the conventional method due to this highlighted advantage.

Manual effort is not required

Conventional method demands for manual efforts whereas this method controls all the appliances without demanding for much manpower.

Reprogrammable

The various speed levels assigned to the fan control system can be reprogrammed accordingly to meet the users need. Also light intensity limit assigned to microcontroller to control the light system in the hall can be reprogrammed.

CONCLUSION

With a view of reducing energy wastage, time consumption and manual efforts we have successfully designed a Hall Management System.
Further, this system if modified can be used to control other appliances also. In addition, this can also be implemented over larger area where controlling appliances and keeping record of visitors is a very tedious job.
